Founder & CEO

Sarah is a passionate conservationist and experienced tourism professional with over 15 years of experience in the Ugandan tourism industry. She holds a degree in Wildlife Management from Makerere University and has dedicated her career to promoting sustainable tourism practices that benefit both local communities and the environment. Sarah is a strong advocate for responsible travel and believes that tourism can be a powerful tool for poverty reduction and conservation.

David is a highly knowledgeable and experienced wildlife guide with over 20 years of experience leading safaris in Uganda's national parks. David is also a skilled birdwatcher and has a deep understanding of Uganda's rich biodiversity. He is committed to responsible tourism practices and works closely with local communities to promote conservation efforts.

Cultural Tourism Coordinator

Aisha is a cultural tourism specialist with a deep understanding of Uganda's diverse cultures and traditions. She works closely with local communities to develop authentic and immersive cultural experiences that benefit both travelers and local people. Aisha is passionate about promoting cultural preservation and ensuring that tourism contributes to the economic empowerment of local communities. She holds a degree in Tourism Management from Kyambogo University and has worked in the tourism industry for over 10 years.

History

Nile Explorers Uganda was founded in 2010 by Sarah Nakimuli, a passionate Ugandan conservationist with a vision to create a sustainable tourism company that showcases the beauty and diversity of her country while benefiting local communities and protecting the environment. Inspired by her childhood experiences exploring Uganda's national parks and her deep respect for its cultural heritage, Sarah set out to establish a tour operator that would prioritize responsible travel and provide authentic experiences for visitors. Starting with a small team of dedicated guides and a commitment to ethical business practices, Nile Explorers Uganda quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional service, knowledgeable staff, and dedication to sustainable tourism.
